I'm Sara and I'll be your sewing teacher. I've been sewing professionally in a variety of roles for over 15 years and I love it, and I'm so excited when I'm able to share those skills with other people. 

 

I trained in Theatre Costume and worked in the industry as costume maker for a number of years before moving into tv & film, progressing to pattern cutter. Along the way I've made wedding dresses, sequined gowns, tailcoats, sportswear, giant squirrels, curtains and sofa covers, you name it. 

 

I've been solely freelance for the past 8 years and recently set up a sewing studio in the heart of Peebles where I continue to make costume and take private commissions. I am so excited to now be offering classes as well, and I really look forward to welcoming you to my sewing table.
