Service Description
Want to brighten up your home with some of your own, bespoke soft furnishings? What better place to start than a few brightly coloured scatter cushions! In this one day workshop, we will learn how to create a beautifully finished cushion cover with contrast piping and a concealed zip. Suitable for beginners and anyone who needs a good refresher. We will cover: 🪡 Cutting and sewing accurately 🪡 Using standard and one-sided presser feet 🪡 Creating your own bias binding 🪡 Applying a piping trim 🪡 Standard zip insertion 🪡 Concealed zipper insertion Along the way, you’ll build confidence at your sewing machine so that you can go home with a stylish cushion cover and all of the skills to make many more at home. What to bring: 1m x fabric, small amount of contrast fabric for the piping, matching thread and zipper. I’m happy to help and advise with this before the class starts if you drop me a message. I always advise bringing your own sewing machine if you can, but there are machines in the studio that you are welcome to use.

Cancellation Policy
We understand that plans can change, and we want to be as fair and flexible as possible. You’re welcome to cancel within 14 days of booking for a full refund. After the 14-day window, cancellations made more than 7 days before your class can be refunded at 50% of the booking fee. Cancellations made within 7 days of the class are non-refundable, as it becomes difficult to fill the space at short notice. (Please note: If you book a class within 7 days of its start date, this non-refundable period still applies, even if you are within the 14-day booking window.) If you can no longer attend, you’re very welcome to pass your place on to someone else at no extra cost—just let us know who will be coming in your place. Should The Sewing Table need to cancel a class for any reason, you will, of course, receive a full refund for that session.
